The online registration system for organizations and artists worked out great and registration is closed. Thanks and props to Doug who set it all up, to RegOnline because it’s way cool, and to all the organizations and artists who registered on time!

The May Planning Meeting for the 2010 Festival is on Monday night, May 3. Meetings are 6 to 8 pm and this one is at the Boulder JCC. We’ll have posters, flyers and other publicity material to be organized for local distribution.  If you would like to download your own, click here. We also have a few magnets left – if you haven’t gotten yours, stop by Monday night!

We are now recruiting volunteer for event-day help: We’re using Meetup.com to keep day of event volunteers in the know. Check it out here: Meetup group (that URL is http://meetup.com/boulder-jewish-festival-volunteers).  Boulder Jewish Festival is also on AllForGood.org and SnapImpact (for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad). Our day of event volunteers help with booth setup, banner hanging, staffing the information booth during the day, relief for other staff/vendors, greeting guests and handing out program books. If you can help with a 1 or 2 hour shift, please sign up on Meetup.com!

For organizations and artists:  the new online booth registration system is for you! Participation in the Boulder Jewish Festival is by invitation. Those invitations will be sent as soon as the new system is live (soon, really!).  The deadline for registration is April 9.

For food vendors: Rick will be in touch in the next few weeks to get you set up for this year. If you haven’t participated in the past but would like to discuss a food booth this year, email us with a proposal: mail@boulderjewishfestival.org.

Have you seen BoulderJewishNews.org? All the news for Boulder County’s Jews!  Arts and Culture, events, organization information, Jewish holiday info, feeds and links. Community voices make it truly a community “paper” – all online and updated as the news happens – which generally means 5-6 days per week.  All organizations that have participated in the Boulder Jewish Festival already have links to their sites set up on Boulder Jewish News.  Check out the headlines (look to the left and down a little to see the headline widget). Meetings last no more than 2 hours. Feel free to brown-bag your dinner, we’ll provide dessert. Volunteers welcome!

If you “wear a community hat” and would like to be part of the best volunteer committee in Boulder, please contact us. The first meeting is in early December, before Chanukah. If you are a high-school student or scout looking for community service hours, participating on this committee can help you earn up to 30 hours of service credits. We welcome volunteers of any age and look forward to meeting you.
