Boulder Jewish Festival is produced each year by a dedicated core team of volunteers who love what we do, have a great time together, and consistently deliver the best independent single-day event on the Pearl Street Mall.

This team is supported by our many sponsors, local non-profit organizations, food vendors, artists and day-of-event volunteers, all of whom share our belief that this is the way we want our community to be seen: thriving, lively, welcoming and open to all.

“Many hands make light work” is how we approach the festival. We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all who volunteer and those who support the volunteers, lug their stuff, work around monthly meetings, understand some late night emails, and give their all. If you see a member of the team at the event, serving blintzes, selling t-shirts, greeting people, resetting chairs, helping with recycling, keeping the stage schedule on track. . .please join me in saying Thank You! See you on Sunday!

Bike to the Festival!

Once again, the “Bike to the Festival” rally is back! Gather at Congregation Bonai Shalom, 1527 Cherryvale Road, by 10:15. There’s parking available if you need to leave a vehicle there. The Bike Rally will travel the Boulder Creek Path down to the Festival, where Community Cycles will valet your bike while you’re enjoying the day. Help us lower the carbon footprint of the event by riding, not driving, down to Pearl Street!

Boulder Jewish Festival is part of Boulder’s Walk and Bike Month. Be part of the fun!

June Planning Update

Wow – it’s really June and the Boulder Jewish Festival is just a little over a week away!

The final planning meeting for the committee is on Monday, June 6 at 6 pm at the Boulder JCC. This meeting also includes day of event volunteers – we’ll be finalizing the schedule for the day of event (who is doing what that day). Volunteers are always welcome – bring a friend!

A few things we can use help with in the final week:

Spread the word – email, facebook, whatever networks you use – please tell a friend!
Flyers – we have flyers to be put up around town (Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, Erie, Superior, Broomfield, Westminster, Denver) – in bagel shops, delis and other similar locations.
Tell more friends!

Most local organizations can use help at their booths too. You can see the list of organizations by clicking the link under “Community” in the top menu bar.

The t-shirts look great, the food lineup is FAB, the kids zone will be so fun, the organizations are set, the artists are prepping and the entertainment – what can we say? This year will ROCK! Get ready!

Day of Event Parking 2011

There are several city- owned parking structures with Free Parking on Sundays in Boulder:

16th Street and Pearl Street (enter from 16th Street) – accessible if you are coming from 28th and Pearl or from Foothills Highway
14th and Walnut (bus depot – enter from Walnut)
Spruce west of Broadway (enter from Spruce) – accessible of you are coming from south/west of town.

Street parking may be available. Meters and lots are free on Sunday in Boulder!

NEW! Ride your bike to the Boulder Jewish Festival and let the Community Cycles bike valet park it for you! Find the Bike Valet on 14th Street just north of Pearl (across from Cheesecake Factory). Boulder Jewish Festival 2011 is part of Walk and Bike Month in Boulder.

The MAY Planning Meeting for the 2011 Festival is on Monday night, May 2. Meetings are 6 to 8 pm at the Boulder JCC. At the May meeting we will be working on publicity, special surprises and volunteer recruitment. If you would like to be part of the committee, please let us know by emailing mail@boulderjewishfestival.org or sign up for the Meetup group by clicking here.

For organizations, the deadline for registration has passed and the space is FULL.

We have a few spots remaining for artist booths. If you know a local Jewish artist (or artist who creates Judaica), please have them contact mail@boulderjewishfestival.org for more information.

For businesses: sponsorships are still available for the 2011 Festival. It’s a great way to get your business name in front of a targeted audience and one of the largest summer events on the Pearl Street Mall. Remember, the Boulder Jewish Festival is Sunday, June 12, 2011!

The April Planning Meeting for the 2011 Festival is on Monday night, April 11. Meetings are 6 to 8 pm at the Boulder JCC and this one is a pizza meeting! At the April meeting we will be working on refining the timeline for the day of event, special surprises, publicity and volunteer recruitment. If you would like to be part of the committee, please let us know by emailing mail@boulderjewishfestival.org or sign up for the Meetup group by clicking here.

For organizations and artists, invitations for booth registration have been sent. Registration for the Festival is online and by invitation only. The deadline for registration is April 15, but don’t wait that long! Last year, the Festival space was fully committed on the deadline – no extensions!
